Dr. Chester (Chet) Dziobkowski, Hopewell Junction, NY passed away on March 27, 2024
We are very sorry to note the passing of a long-standing member of our Mid-Hudson ACS family. Chet Dziobkowski, a 50+ year member of the ACS, served as Chair of the local section, as a judge for our Undergraduate Research Symposium, as a photographer for our social functions, and as our publicity chair. In many ways, and for many years, Chet has served our chemistry community.

Dr. Peter Dorn, Hopewell Junction, NY passed away on August 13, 2023 Dr. Carson Clifford Conaway, Mahopac, NY passed away on June 13, 2017 Joseph Hlavka, a long-time resident of Tuxedo Park, died on Saturday January 27, 2018 after a short illness. He was 90 years old. Dr. Frederick Zenz, 95, a longtime Philipstown resident since 1972, died Wednesday, February 28th, at Vassar Hospital. Eugene DiBella, 89, died on March 9, 2018. Gene received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fordham University in NY and worked as a research chemist for various New Jersey based corporations, authoring or co-authoring 32 United States patents, and 2 foreign patents in addition to teaching chemistry part-time at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, NJ.
