Organic Chemistry Instructor
​Bard College is seeking an instructor for THREE sections of CHEM 201 Organic Chemistry for the Fall semester of 2022. Each section meets for 3-hours per week starting Aug 31st. Adjunct Instructor in Organic Chemistry
The Biomedical Science Department at Fei Tian College – Middletown, NY invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach Organic Chemistry lecture & lab (I and II) in the 2022- 2023 academic year. The teaching load as following:
                   *  Organic Chemistry lecture, 3 credits, two 75min classes per week
                   *  Organic Chemistry lab, 1 credit, one class of 2 hour and 45 min per week
The candidate is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that agrees with the College’s mission and values. He or she also commits to teaching effectiveness and excellence and keeps with the student-learning-centered practices and goals of the College.

Major responsibilities include:
     * Evaluating and selecting instructional materials such as textbooks, manuals, software, and tools in collaboration, as appropriate, with the Department.
     * Providing academic instruction to students through lecture and/or lab courses.
     * Observing and evaluating student performance in meeting course objectives, and student learning outcomes through assignments, projects, discussions, and examinations.
     * Providing feedback in a timely manner to student inquiries in class, online, or during established consultation office hours.
     * Maintaining current, accurate records of course enrollment, attendance, student academic progress, course curriculum, and student learning outcomes.
     * Preparing and submitting assessment data and reports related to course and student progress in a timely manner.
     * Effectively communicate with students, colleagues and other stakeholders in a composed and professional manner; contributing to a positive educational and working environment.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Skills):
     * Minimum Master's degree, doctorate preferred, in chemistry or a closely-related field
     * Teaching experience on similar courses at the college level preferred
     * In person teaching is preferred
     * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
     * Organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills
     * Ability to work independently and in a team environment
     * Positive and caring attitude and willingness to extend self to help students succeed
     * Ability to motivate students from a broad spectrum of backgrounds

Visiting Professor
The Department of Chemistry at Vassar College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Chemistry beginning Fall 2022.

Position Description: This is a two-year visiting assistant professor position for academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry or a related field and a dedication to undergraduate education. The successful candidate will teach 5 general chemistry classes per year, some of which will be laboratories.
