The Mid-Hudson Section of the American Chemical Society is once again sponsoring a College Recognition Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize achievement in the field of chemistry and to encourage further study in chemistry. One student from each college in the Mid-Hudson Section will be presented with the award. The student will be the guest of the Section at the December Family night/ dinner meeting where he/she will be presented with the $50.00 cash award.
The award winner from each school is to be selected by the chemistry faculty at that school, on the basis of general chemistry excellence. Four-year colleges may wish to make the presentation to a junior year student, whereas community colleges may select a second-year student.
Winner selections from the faculty should be submitted by 15 of November of each year:
